“This is a nice computer. I love the size and the sturdiness of it.
We have all Lenovo machines in our house, and they’ve never missed a beat. I wanted something a little larger than my 15 inch ThinkPad, so went with the G780.
Pros: size without too much weight, good looks, well put together, an able multi-tasker, smooth performance, really zippy and sure, the display is gorgeous and easy on the eyes…love having a bigger screen, excellent sound…best I’ve ever had on any computer, easy to transfer Windows7 & stuff over and add peripherals, and yes, I will say it: I am enjoying Windows 8.
Cons: The mouse buttons are kinda noisy and stiff. I am hoping they will break in, eventually. Also, too much bloatware, but it all seems easily removable. This isn’t a computer to haul around all over tarnation. Though light for the size, it’s still quite large and not of ‘Thinkpad’ build, in the lid/screen section.
If you are looking for a larger laptop, give this a try. Windows 8 is actually kind of fun, once you understand how to use it. Get on YouTube and watch a few W8 videos before you try it.
